Practice Description

At the heart of my practice is a belief that bringing light to what pains us, with openness, kindness and compassion, helps us connect to our natural healing capacity. As a counsellor, I bring my knowledge, experience and humanity to create a safe space for this healing to occur.  I focus on working with adults impacted by trauma, relational abuse, life transitions, anxiety, depression, shame, issues of self-worth, identity and belonging.  The purpose of my work is to assist clients in navigating their paths to experiencing more wholeness, ease and aliveness in their relationships with themselves and with others.

I integrate trauma-informed, experiential and relational approaches to meet individual client needs, bringing a holistic perspective that involves helping clients get in touch with different facets of their experience –  somatic, emotional, mental and spiritual – and gain insight into relationships in their lives.

Any change that is possible in counselling stems from a genuine, respectful and nourishing therapeutic relationship. I feel honoured to co-create such relationships with my clients. To learn more about my practice, visit alionasydorenko.com.
